Group 3 The Love Song

As I was reading "The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock", I almost felt a little bad for the speaker of the story.  He seemed to be highly educated, but seemed to question himself a lot, and couldnt have conversation with a woman.  "In the room the women come and go talking of Michelangelo" (1302). I think the speaker is talking about how women were trying to impress him by talking about the latest fads, but didnt really have any depth to them.  He seems to be always questioning himself also, as if he wasnt sure of his decisions.  He seems to be using women to have one night stands with in these cheap hotels, and then never talking to them again- which isnt healthy or right.  I dont think that he has found a woman that he can actually connect to on a deeper level, but gets all of his urges out on women just for one night.  Throughout the story he is getting older and older, but still doesnt have a partner of his own. " Time to turn back and descend the stair, with a bald spot in the middle of my hair- (They will say: "How his hair is growing thin!" (1302).  His loneliness seems to consume him, making him question his life decisions even more.  My question to you is, why do you think that he cant seem to settle down and find someone to love?  Why is he always questioning himself?
