Mr.Hyde

Like at the beginning of this class when we discussed monsters, I feel this story could be a good example of how humans could be monsters.  It seems to me by the way Mr. Hyde is explained that he may be considered a monster.  Like in the reading at the beginning when Mr. Hyde is first introduced by Mr. Enfield he explains the incidence “the two ran into one another naturally enough at the corner; and then came the horrible part of the thing; for the man trampled calmly over the child’s body and left her screaming on the ground.  It sounds nothing to hear, but it was hellish to see.  It wasn’t like a man; it was like some damned Juggernaut.”  By this excerpt it seems to me that Mr. Hyde is an awful human being who does not think twice about anyone in his path.  Although he is not described like monsters in previous readings such as Frankenstein, I feel is a different kind of monster.  He looks like a human however is still described us ugly.  They explain Mr.Hyde as not looking quite right, there is something wrong with him but they cannot decide why or what it is.  Another thing I have found interesting so far in the reading is that at the end of the passage Dr.Jekyll who had before wanted so badly to help Mr.Hyde now wants nothing to with him and to not help him anymore.  I wonder what has happened between Mr.Hyde and Dr.Jekyll.  Also I am curious to find out what Mr.Hydes motive was to murder?
